This is a mid-Island volunteer-run community service that matches people currently in voluntary self-isolation/quarantine with a neighbour who can help out with occasional basic out-of-home errands.

Free Internet Cafe

Comox Valley Lifelong Learning Centre is offering a Free Internet Cafe! Located at 1507A McPhee Avenue in Courtenay, the Free Internet Cafe is It is open 9-3 Monday-Friday and on Thursdays the Care-A-Van is parked at our centre all day. Masks-For-All Comox Valley

This group of Comox Valley mask-makers exists to spread awareness and connect crafters with each other to share supplies as well as connecting crafters to those who need masks. Many of the mask-makers will make masks for donation, or for free for frontline workers and those in essential services. They maintain a list of mask-makers here: List of CV Mask Makers

We’re still here to serve! It may be quiet, but if you listen closely, there’s a hum. Behind closed doors, kitchens are cooking, artists are creating, instructors are teaching, makers are making. Things may have changed, but we’re resilient, we’ve found new ways to connect with one another.
